Dear ABMInsider,

Did you know Atlantic Business is Atlantic Canada’s ONLY regional business print publication? And that we’re 100% dedicated to local companies and people in business?

And did you know we have a strict anti-AI policy around our editorial content? Our articles must be original human-created content based on first-person interviews/research or we won’t print them. Zero questions. Zero tolerance.

Did you also know we curate and deliver five annual awards programs that are unique to Atlantic Business: Were you aware our writers are instructed to be inclusive in their story topics and interview subjects?

That we have sections each issue dedicated to small business, economic reconciliation and immigrant entrepreneurs/issue?

That we launched a vodcast/podcast this past year?

Or that we have a non-profit subsidiary that matches the resources of Top 50 CEO Hall of Fame inductees with youth-driven initiatives designed to make Atlantic Canada a better place to work and live? More to the point: do you care about any of it?

That last question will be central to our annual internal strategy session, coming up in the middle of June. Each year, we dedicate time to coming together as a team and having challenging conversations about where we’ve come from and what’s next.

We take information we’ve learned from current and prospective clients, put it together with feedback from readers and event attendees, and we ask ourselves the toughest questions. Do people still want print? Can we use AI without sacrificing journalistic integrity? Do we deliver too many events? Should we change our delivery model? Reconsider our subscription fee?

Nothing is more important to us than our relationship with you, our audience. Ultimately, it’s all about what we can do to be more relevant, and meaningful, to you? We really do want to know (actually, it’s more of a need than a want).
